What have I been reading?
Reading is truly one of my favorite hobbies. After editing on a screen all day, I love resting my eyes in a book and diving into a story. Here are some of my recent favorites! Please feel free to send me your recommendations!! I’m currently reading Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn series!
The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green
One of my good friends says how John Green makes the mundane so poignant and beautiful, and my god is she right. The Anthropocene Reviewed will pull at your heart strings as Green takes the reader on his reviews of the world. From Auld Lang Syne, to Sycamore Trees, to the Indy 500: Green captivates the reader in a series of essays which makes your soul feel so complete.
People We Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry
I love romance stories. I love Rom Coms. I love falling in love. Most of all, I love friends to lovers. Similar to Harry Met Sally (10/10, btw), People We Meet On Vacation follows the story of Poppy & Alex, two best friends, over the course of their 12 year friendship. Poppy & Alex bond through yearly trips, and as they grow closer, so does their love for one another. I can’t recommend this book enough. It’s so genuine & real.
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
The Sun is dying. Earth will be dead in less than 30 years. To find a solution, a world-wide led mission is needed to send an astronaut to another galaxy aboard a space ship. Who becomes Earth’s last hope for this suicide mission? High School Science Teacher Dr. Ryland Grace.
Project Hail Mary is everything you’d want out of a Sci-Fi: Science, adventure, & the unknown. But I didn’t expect to feel so much humanity light years away from humanity. This story is a prime example of how love & friendship can overcome any obstacle.
Here’s the (constantly growing, lol) stack of books next to my bed.
